Staunton View has a public boat launch with courtesy dock and ample parking with a short trail leading to the day use area. In the day use area you will find the perfect spot for bank fishing or wildlife viewing- as you have a view of the confluence of the Staunton  (Roanoke) and Dan River  into Kerr Lake. You’ll regularly find heron and egrets along the shoreline and beyond. There are also picnic tables and grills to make a day at the lake!
