Brodnax to La Crosse ~ Round-trip 6.6 miles

Brodnax to Lawrenceville

• Park at the trailhead just off Highway 58 along Regional Airport Road in Brodnax, VA 23920.
• Head West down the trail towards La Crosse. This hike/ride is a 3.3 miles. This is a smooth easy walk for families and those unaccustomed to hiking. Your journey will take you by the regional airport and into the woods. At this point expect to see wild turkey, deer, squirrels, rabbits, butterflies and the occasional snake. Please be respectful of all wildlife. Eventually you will pass town businesses, churches, and residences and emerge in the Town of La Crosse.
• Restroom facilities are located approximately 1.4 miles down the trail near the Airport Industrial Park.
• Take some family photos at the antique caboose in the center of town.
• When you return to Regional Airport Road, just 0.3 miles East down the trail you will reach the end of the off-road section of the THT.

Brodnax to Lawrenceville ~ Round-trip 28.4 miles 

• Park at the trailhead just off Highway 58 along Regional Airport Road in Brodnax, VA 23920.
• Head East down the trail towards Lawrenceville. This hike/ride is 14.2 miles. This surface is a smooth compacted crushed stone and is easily walkable for families and those unaccustomed to hiking.
• For cyclists, tires 35mm and wider are suggested.
• Your journey will take you through the Town of Brodnax via Railroad Street and into the woods. At this point expect to see wild turkey, deer, squirrels, rabbits, butterflies and the occasional snake. Please be respectful of all wildlife. Eventually you will pass town businesses and residences and emerge in the Town of Lawrenceville.
• You can also take advantage of the amenities along this trail segment which include benches, picnic tables, horse mounting benches and hitching posts and four solar powered restrooms.
• Take some family photos at the antique caboose on the former turntable property and learn about the rail history of Lawrenceville by reading the interpretive sign located at the East end parking.
• While in Lawrenceville you may like to eat lunch at the Clubhouse Grill, a supporter of the THT! Or try one of the down town restaurants and explore the antique and thrift stores or the Brunswick Museum and Historical Society.
