The Town of South Hill welcomes you to the South Hill Model Railroad Museum. Located in the restored South Hill Depot at 201 S. Mecklenburg Avenue; the HO model trains represent over 200 miles of fun tracks in Virginia known as the Wiggle, Bump and Agony. You will also see the Atlantic & Danville Model Railroad, which is the focal point of the museum. The A&D is an HO scale model of the trains and towns, circa 1950, as it ran through South Hill encompassing the route from Lawrenceville, Virginia to Clarksville, Virginia.
Also featured are: Old Toy Trains, historical documents, photographs and artifacts from South Hill’s past. You can even see an authentic Caboose located on the Depot grounds. Children of all ages love the trains and will enjoy a visit to our museum
