To those that have visited, Cedar Creek Gallery is a living, breathing space that celebrates craftsmanship and artistry. For those that are discovering it for the first time, it is a surprising oasis tucked into the woods just outside of Creedmoor, NC.
Part gallery, part studio, part store, Cedar Creek prides itself on putting finely crafted products in the hands of its many customers. Founded in 1968 as a studio and sales space for two potters, Cedar Creek has grown to house an array of potters and glassblowers in private studios on the site.
Given this commitment to the artistry and the customer, it is not surprising that Cedar Creek schedules festivals and events to provide an opportunity for customers and artists to interact.
Two such opportunities are taking place this Spring. The first is taking place two weekends of April as the Annual Spring Pottery & Glass Festival take place! Glass blowing demonstrations, pottery demonstrations, visiting guest artists, food trucks, and live music will fill the studios and the gallery. Bring the family and experience for yourself what Cedar Creek is all about. This event is free and open to the public. Hours for the event are 4pm – 9pm on Friday, March 31 and 10am – 6pm on Saturday and Sunday (April 1st-2nd & April 8th-9th ).
The second event is a "must-attend" – the National Teapot Show XII which will take place from May 20 – September 10, 2023
Yes!!!! It’s finally here again! This year’s National Teapot Show marks the twelfth anniversary of this prestigious event. The show, which takes place every three years, has taken place since 1989 and is nationally recognized for its gathering of high-quality craftsmanship. We invite artists from all over North America to enter one or more teapots for exhibition online and in the gallery.
The Cedar Creek Gallery National Teapot Show XII will feature teapots crafted using a vast range of materials, including glass, metal, pottery, wood, fiber, and mixed media. Teapots can be any shape or form and are either functional or decorative.
All the teapots in the National Teapot Show XII will be available for purchase online and in the gallery once the show opens.
Note: Teapots purchased during the show must remain on display in the gallery as part of the exhibit until the show closes on September 10, 2023. After the show closes, teapots will be carefully packed and shipped by September 25 or available for pick-up at the gallery.
