Letters to Santa

10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday; 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday | Wister’s

Bring your kiddos to write a letter to Santa! Santa has told us he’s using Wister’s as his letter writing headquarters this year and will be responding to all letters left in our sweet Ivy’s mailing bag!

Saturday, December 5

Kid’s Shopping Day!

10 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Wister’s

Bring your sweet kiddos to Wister’s all day in December 5th to shop for all the special friends and family in their life! We’ll have tables set up with $10 and under gifts, $25 and under gifts, and pre-wrapped gifts.


Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

11 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Enchanted Surroundings

Santa Claus is coming to town. Santa Claus is coming to Enchanted Surroundings. "????????" Also, be on the lookout for Mrs. Claus as she strolls North Main. "????????"

Holiday Market at the Barn

11 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Hunting Creek Vineyards

We have Dimplecrafts, Mill Road Art, Toombs Wreaths and Centerpieces, and The Succy Crafter selling local, handmade stockings, ornaments, soaps, bath bombs, lip balm, live wreaths, earrings and much much more! We will also have mulled wine and firepits going. Social distancing and face masks REQUIRED while moving about.

Jingle in the Square

6 p.m. | Constitution Square

Presented by Essence of Movement Dance Studio along with Drumlogic. A family-friendly evening of live dance performances and percussionist to get you into the holiday spirit. Seating is limited. Call 434.470.1881 to reserve tickets.

5-8 p.m. | Halifax County Fairgrounds

Presented by the Halifax County Cancer Association and the Halifax County Heritage and Antique Festival. The organizations want to spread a little holiday cheer with this drive-thru lights display.


Winter Wonderland Floral Workshop

6-8 p.m. | Wister’s

Join us for a fun, festive evening creating your very own floral arrangement! I will teach you step-by-step how to make your own, and then you’ll dive right in, with my guidance along the way! Space is limited in order to accommodate social distancing.

Saturday, December 12

Breakfast with Santa

9 a.m. – Noon | Berry Hill Resort

Seatings available for a buffet breakfast with Santa! Reserve your space now! This event will sell out.

Alton Drive-Thru Christmas Parade

11 a.m. – Noon | Cluster Springs and Blane Road through Alton

Each parade entry will be set up at different addresses along Cluster Springs Road and Blane Road through Alton. Everyone is invited to view the parade by driving through Alton and taking your time to see the hard work put into each entry. Santa will be at the Alton Post Office.

Sunday, December 13

Ornament Paint and Sip

2 – 4 p.m. | Hunting Creek Vineyards

Hunting Creek Vineyards has paired up with The Painted Palm to host "Ornament Paint and Sip". Come out and paint your own special ornaments to hang on the tree this year! Each $25.00 ticket includes one glass of wine as well as supplies and instruction to create 2 ornaments.
