Someone once said ‘Life is a fiesta.’ What better way to celebrate, or just make your day special than with delicious food? Mi Fiesta Mexican Restaurant at 1115 John Small Avenue does just that, serving food and community from the heart. From tacos to tamales, and everything in between, your tastebuds will be having their own party.

Originally from Vera Cruz, Mexico, owner Kike Palayo uses fresh ingredients, cultural culinary experience, and infuses it all with a sense of community spirit. Moving to Washington 16 years ago, Palayo met his wife here. Now with two children, ages 13 and 6, he is proud to be a locally owned, family-run business. His son is a member of Boy Scouts Troop 99 in town, and he supports local organizations whenever he can. "We are a sponsor with the Optimist Club soccer league and we help with school and first responders programs."

With 18 years in the restaurant and food service industry, Palyao opened Mi Fiesta two years ago. "We love this small town; this is home." He says that they are invested in the community and want everyone to be safe. When the pandemic hit last year, he says they knew how important is was to pull together as a community and follow safety protocols. "Our tables are at least six feet apart, all staff wear masks, and we sanitize everything between diners, including menus and salt and pepper shakers."

Palayo acknowledges the importance of these safety measures. "If we ALL do our part, we can end this pandemic and get back to normal sooner." He says they are taking this situation very seriously and want everyone to stay well. "It is our [everyone’s] responsibility to take precautions for the health and well-being of the community."

Mi Fiesta has a drive-through for convenience and has recently started serving breakfast on weekends. They also offer lunch, dinner, and drink specials everyday.

They are open M-Th 11am-9:30pm; Fri 6am-9:30pm; Sat 7am-9:30pm; and Sun 7am-9pm.
