This spring has been a challenging time for everyone. We have seen our collective worlds turned upside down. As challenging has it has been, this has also been a remarkably inspiring time. Specifically, our restaurants. Chefs and owners have used creative endeavors to make business work and to continue serving our community delicious meals. Their resilience and dedication have been truly amazing.
We want to continue to support our restaurants and our tradition of restaurant week. Just like our dining establishments, we have re-imagined the event for 2020. We introduce to you, Halifax County Restaurant Week CELEBRATION to take place Sunday, September 6 through Saturday, September 12, 2020. This week-long event will have no special courses or printed menu for the event. Visit any of our locally-owned dining establishments during the week. Several restaurants will offer a dining special during the week-long celebration (and we’ll keep you posted on that).
YOU can take part in this year’s event by dining in, taking out, or curbside pickup. Sample and savor local flavors from the comfort of your favorite eatery or curled up on your couch at home. We’ll be updating our website (halifaxcountyrestaurantweek.com) with more details, specials, and contests.
Returning participants of Restaurant Week include Darby’s Tavern, Southern Plenty Café, and Molasses Grill, all offering special meals to sample their culinary prowess. They will be joined by newcomers Windmill Farm Bake Shop, O’ Sole Mio, and The Ranch. As establishments confirm their specials, we will update the site.
Whether you’re a local or a visitor, you’re sure to find something that pleases your palate during this week-long celebration.
